Introduction:

Kathmandu, Muktinath, and Janakpur Dham Tour cover all the major sightseeing places in these three destinations of Nepal. We start our tour from Kathmandu. First, we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara visiting Manakamana Goddess Temple via cable car ride. The next day, we fly from Pokhara to Jomsom by small plane and drive to Muktinath. There we take a holy bath under 108 Mukti Dhara and 2 Mukti Kundas. Have a darshan of Shree Muktinath and come back to Jomsom for an overnight stay. On the third day, we fly back to Pokhara and do the local sightseeing and take a rest. Fourth day, we drive back to Kathmandu following the same route.

After returning back from Muktinath Yatra, we cover the major UNESCO World Heritage sightseeing places in Kathmandu. Then, we fly to Janakpur to visit the Raja Janak Kingdom. Ram, the hero of the epic Ramayana and an incarnation of Vishnu had come to Janakpur, which was the kingdom of Sita's father King Janak, to marry Sita.

How do we go from Kathmandu to Muktinath & Janakpur Dham?

From Kathmandu, we drive to Pokhara by private vehicle, 8/9 hours drive.
From Pokhara, we fly to Jomsom by small 18-seater plane, 20 minutes flight.
From Jomsom, we drive to Muktinath by private vehicle, 1 hour drive.
From Kathmandu, we fly to Janakpur by 72 seater ATR Plane, 30 minutes flight.

Short Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival.

Greet and meet at the airport.
Transfer to the hotel, 7 km.
A brief introduction to the whole program.
Free/Rest time at the hotel.
Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara & Enroute visit Manakamana Temple.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara by a private vehicle, 206 km - 8/9 hrs drive.
Enjoy the view of Greenery Hills, lots of small Villages, Trisuli River, and Marshyandi River on the way.
After a 100 km drive visit Manakamana Goddess Temple via Cable Car Ride. Might need to stand in queue/line for hours to ride on the cable car and to enter the temple.
Darshan and continue drive to Pokhara, 4 hours.
Arrive at Pokhara and transfer to the hotel.
Free time.
Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 03: Fly Pokhara to Jomsom, Drive to Muktinath, Darshan and stay at Jomsom.

Today is the test of our luck because of the weather dependable flight from Pokhara to Jomsom.
Jomsom airport is located in a very remote area where the weather must be flying-friendly.
Hope there will not be any obstacles.
As per the flight schedule transfer to the airport.
We fly from Pokhara to Jomsom by 18 seater Twin Ottar Flight, 20 mins flight.
The flight offers magnificent views of the snow-capped mountains.
After landing, transfer to the hotel, 5 mins walk.
Short rest then, drive to Muktinath by a private vehicle following the Kaligandaki River, 1:30 hrs drive.
Arrive at Muktinath and hike 2 km up to the temple.
Unable to walk can ride on horses at their own expense.
Take a holy bath under 108 Mukti Dhara, 2 Mukti Kundas.
Perform ritual activities at Muktinath Temple.
Visit Mukteshwor Mahadev Temple, Vishnu Paduka, Swaminarayan Nilkath Varani Meditation Spot, Shree Ramanujacharya Temple, Narshing Monastery, and Jwala Mai Temple.
Then, back to Jomsom following the same route.
Overnight at Jomsom.

Day 04: Fly Jomsom to Pokhara and Pokhara Sightseeing.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Hope there will not be any weather obstacles.
As per the flight schedule transfer to the airport, 5 mins walk.
Fly back to Pokhara.
Arrival and proceed for Sightseeing.
Visit Bindabasini Temple, Seti Gorge River, Devi's Water Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and Tal Barahi Temple at Fewa Lake.
Free evening.
Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 05: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive back to Kathmandu.
Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Free Evening/Shopping.
Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 06: Kathmandu Sightseeing.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed for Kathmandu Sightseeing.
Today we are going to visit Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha Temple (Jaal Narayan Temple/Sleeping Vishnu God Temple), Swoymabhunath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Free Evening.
Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 07: Fly Kathmandu to Janakpur, Sightseeing, and return to Kathmandu.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Drop at the airport.
Fly Pokhara to Janakapur, 35 mins flight.
Arrival and proceed for sightseeing.
Visit Ram Janaki Mandir, Ram Sita Vivaha Mandap, Dhanus Sagar, and Ganga Sagar.
Transfer to the airport.
Fly back to Kathmandu.
Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Hotel Check-Out Time 12 Noon.

Most memorable trip to Muktinath

Comfortable and well organized trip to Mukthinath

Traveled to Muktinath in November 2018 with parents and aunt. The trip (3D/2N) was organized by Lumle Holidays. Nipendra, the Operations Manager accompanied us personally to Mukthinath Mandir. We were received at Kathmandu airport and took different modes of transportation during our trip. Excellent arrangement by Lumle Holidays

Mukthinath is a vaishnavite holy place and one of the 108 Divya Desams. We went from Bangalore to Kathmandu via New Delhi. From Kathmandu, we were taken by road to Pokahara. From Pokahara we flew to Jomsom and from Jomsom we went by Jeep to Mukthinath. At Mukthinath we went by horse and Dholi was arranged for my 78 years old Mother In Law. Mr.Nipendra of Lumle Holidays was very kind, informative and made all arrangements in Nepal. We traveled back the same route. On the whole arrangements were excellent.

First, TripAdvisor should have a drop down for just Family. It has only options as Family (children ) and Family (Teens) Regarding lumle travels, great team !! Operation Manager Nipendra knows hospitality and operations well with a personal touch. I travelled to Mukthinath Temple with my mom who is at 88, and Nipendra knew the requirements. Religious tour to Muktinath and Kathmandu

Recently we had an oppurtunity to visit Kathmandu and Mukthinath.
